Pennsylvania Farm Show Exposition Center

"...The New Exposition Center at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex was a high profile project and Frey Lutz Corporation performed the Plumbing and HVAC construction work in a very professional manner. Frey Lutz Corporation's construction team worked within a tight schedule and worked in cooperative spirit with all the other trades and the project's professional representatives. Frey Lutz Corporation also provided some value engineering suggestions, which helped contain costs."

"As Executive Director of the Farm Show Complex, what happened in the last eleven months was truly history making. Many people said that our schedule of completing an 86.2 million dollar project in the proposed time frame was impossible; however, today it is reality."

"There were in excess of 100 prime and sub contractors involved in our project and I can personally say that it was a pleasure working with the people from the Frey Lutz Corporation. Their commitment to customer satisfaction was very evident and their quality of work was exceptional. And from time to time we asked them to deliver what seemed, even to me, to be a huge request; however, they always came through."

"I would highly recommend Frey Lutz Corporation to anyone who is constructing a facility that is in need of their professional services."

Dennis L. Grumbine
Executive Director
Farm Show Complex

The Farm Show Project consisted of five projects. The Exposition Hall was the largest of the five. It is a 160,000 square foot convention hall that can exhibit animal shows, product shows and entertainment events. The roof structure is 45 feet above the floor at its highest point.

The duration of the $86.2 million project was 306 calendar days from Notice-to-Proceed to occupancy. The first Exhibition Hall event, the Pennsylvania Farm Show, was scheduled prior to the start of construction. No delays were possible on this project. As the project progressed, unforseen conditions and coordination issues were encountered. Frey Lutz Corp. reacted quickly to changes required on the job to meet the Owner’s needs and the project schedule.

Coordination and scheduling of over 40 prime contractors, manpower and equipment rentals and staffing with qualified personnel was critical to maintaining the project schedule. At peak times, Frey Lutz Corp. had 22 employees on site with up to 450 craftsmen from other prime contractors over the duration of the project.
