Lancaster General Hospital Emergency Room Addition

"...I have personally had the pleasure of working with Frey Lutz on the above referenced project. The project in question is a multi million dollar new construction, as well as renovation to what was the existing Emergency Department. As you can imagine, the Emergency Department was never closed, and Frey Lutz demonstrated not only the finest quality of workmanship and construction but also demonstrated repeatedly that they are highly skilled, technically competent, strongly motivated and dedicated to meeting all customer's requirements."

John Hartman
Director, Project Management and Construction
Lancaster General Hospital

The Lancaster General Hospital Emergency Room Project consisted of a 64,000 square foot expansion and a 17,000 square foot renovation.
Ground breaking on the project was started in mid-Summer 2002 with occupancy for the owners scheduled for July 2003. The new emergency department included a new, larger waiting room and patient drop-off area as well.

Being both the HVAC and plumbing contractor, with contracts totaling 3.2 million dollars, Frey Lutz Corporation’s own work force performed 80% of our portion of this 15 million dollar project. The project required careful coordination with the hospital staff and representatives due to the existing facility being occupied and potentially affected by our ongoing work.
